Butterfly Tea Light Box

This lovely Tea Light Gift Box is made using elements from "Your Special Day" collection from Hunkydory.

I've made a few of these and even though they are quite time consuming they are really easy to make up.
I followed this fabulous tutorial here.

Forever Friends Wedding

A commissioned wedding card, and while I had the Forever Friends CD out, I thought I'd use one of the fabulous wedding images on there.

It's a large 8" x 8" and the only embellies I used were pearls and ribbon and mounted it onto silver mirri card.

Have a great weekend whatever you're doing and I hope the snow isn't causing you too many problems!!! xx

Wedding Bouquet

I've not made many white on white cards, so I enjoyed doing this one. The gorgeous bouquet is from Just Inklined.

Coloured with Promarkers and I used spellbinders dies, embossing folders and a bit of ribbon ... not a pearl in sight on this one .. didn't think it needed anything else!!

Have a great weekend whatever you're doing. I think I'll be sledging down to the supermarket to do my weekly shop!! lol

Wedding Keepsake

I went to a wedding on Saturday and made this keepsake for the bride and groom (also made all the wedding stationery but that's a different story!!) lol

I followed this easy tutorial and used ice gold card for the base of the box and the lovely pale green backing paper is from a K & Company pad that I've had for years!! The roses were handmade using a woodware punch and the leaves are a Leone Em punch.

Have a nice day whatever you're doing :) xx

Diamond Wedding

A Diamond Wedding Anniversary card for my cousins parents. I used some absolutely stunning tapestry card and embossed the corners with a very old and battered stencil I've had for years and I used my old fashioned light box.

Finished it off with a peel off butterfly, ribbon and bow, and some sparkly gems.
Enjoy the rest of the evening whatever you're doing xx

Just Inklined Blog Hop

Where did February go? Can't believe we're onto the March Just Inklined Blog Hop already!!
This month our host is Joyce and the theme is "embossing anywhere, anyhow".

My image is the stunning Wedding Bouquet which I colourd with Promarkers and can be purchased here from La Pashe. For the main embossed panel I used Kassies Brocade folder which I got from Joanna Sheen and the panel down the right hand side is just a few simple lines using my Hougie Board.

Now if you're following the blog in the right order you should have arrived here from Toni's blog, and from here you need to visit Jeni and see what little masterpiece she's come up with.

In case you get lost here's the hop in the correct order:

Joyce
Toni
Karen (me)
Jeni
Lydia
Meesh
Debbie
Jak
Cathy

Hope you all had a good weekend whatever you were doing xx

Ted and Agnes

Meet Ted and Agnes, the loved up newlyweds from Just Inklined.
Just the ticket for an older couple that are getting married, or even for a young couple with a sense of humour!!

Ted and Agnes were coloured with Promarkers and are available from La Pashe for an amazing £1!!!
The gorgeous grey floral backing paper is one of Jak's own (I think!!) and I couldn't find a suitable shade of pink in my cardstock so I made my own using Greeting Card Factory.

Hope you all had a good weekend and see you soon xx

Wedding Stationery

This is what I'm currently working on.
Very, very time consuming but very, very enjoyable.

The Table Planner is still to do, so once that's completed I'll post it on here for you to have a look at.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend whatever you're doing xx

The Chosen One

You may remember a while back I did several wedding invitation samples for my cousins wedding. Well this was the one she finally chose, a mixture of a few of them and also one of the fiddliest and most time consuming!!! Still it's what she wanted so it's what she'll get! lol

All the day and evening invitations have now been sent out, so I'm now on with the Order of Service, Menu, Place Cards and Table Planner and I'm running out of time!! Why do I always leave everything to the last minute??
I might see you soon with a new card if I get the time so watch this space!! lol

And finally ... Sample No. 7

Well here it is ... the final sample.
This was my personal favourite and one of the easiest to do. A heart punch, couple of pearls and ribbon .. what could be simpler!
Like I said earlier, once Helen has sent the invitations out I will post the one she finally decided on, along with the Evening Invitations, Order of Service, Menu, Table Planner etc. etc.
I'll be back tomorrow with a "normal" card, until then enjoy your evening xxx

Sample No. 6

This is just a sideways version of No. 4.
This time I used the Birds & Swirls folder and a wider piece of ribbon, I can't decide if I like this version or No. 4 best.
Anyway I bet you're getting bored of these invitations now, so the good news is I'll be posting the last sample tomorrow!!!
Have a nice evening xx

Sample No. 5

Another very easy, peasy one.
Ribbon, pearls and Cuttlebug Olivia alphabet for the letters .. and that's it!!!
Back with No. 6 tomorrow ... have a nice evening xxx

Sample No. 4

This one was inspired by Jak over at Jak Heath Designs .. thanks Jak.
Stylised flowers embossing folder and label die (can't remember which one!!), finished off for a change with pearls and ribbon!! lol
I'll be back with No. 5 tomorrow xx

Sample No. 3

This was probably the simplest of them all to make.
Punched butterfly, ribbon and a few pearls and that's it!!!
Back with No. 4 tomorrow .. hope you've all had a good weekend xx

Sample No. 2

A simple gate fold with punched flowers, pearls and ribbon.
I'm trying to keep them as simple as possible because I've a lot to make!!!
I'll be back with No. 3 tomorrow.
Had a fantastic time in Bridlington last night with The Prodigy but my ears are ringing this morning ... it was sooooo loud and we were stood at the front next to the biggest speaker in the world!!!! lol
Have a nice weekend xx

Sample Wedding Invitations

I've been asked to make ALL the wedding stationery for my cousin's wedding in August, now while I'm quite nervous at taking on such a big order I'm excited too. I've made wedding invitations before but not on this scale, she wants day invites, evening invites, order of service, menu, place cards, table planner and whatever else is needed for a wedding!!
I did her seven samples to choose from and the one she chose was a combination of two of them. I'll show you the samples I sent her but I won't be showing the actual finished invitation until she's written them and sent them all out just in case any of the guests read my blog!!!
Here's the first and I'll be back with the second one tomorrow.
Oh and I've got a date tonight in Bridlington with .......... The Prodigy!!! Whooohoooo!!!
Have a nice day xxx
