BonVoyage

First time ever I've not posted a card on my blog .. but just letting you all know I'm off on my jollies tomorrow and won't be back til next Sunday.
As a lot of you will know Jak is on telly tomorrow again (Create and Craft Channel 671) with the new La Pashe sheets and myself, Jak, Toni and Jackie will be showing a few samples of these fantastic new beauties on their blogs. I'm actually doing scheduled posts (never done one before!!) so if you're lucky and I've done it right you'll get to see them .. if I've made a pigs ear of it then you'll have to wait until I get back next Sunday to see them!!! LOL!!
Have a fantastic weekend everyone .. catch you all later xx

Smell the flowers!

This little bear (thanks Nikky) has a purple nose!!! Don't know why ... but I'm not complaining cos he goes perfectly with my purple ribbon and purple spotty backing paper!!
The card is self explanatory really so I won't bore you with the details!
Hope you all have a fantastic, sunny weekend xx

Bunnies with pots and spots!

My second attempt at colouring in a stamped image (thanks Jackie). Used pencil crayons and Whisper pens (still can't get my head round water colouring!!!).
Used black card for the base and then ran the coloured card through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder, used Romance board for the scalloped edges and finished off with ribbon and a bow.
See you later.

For my Mum and Dad

Don't usually send my Mum and Dad a wedding anniversary card unless it's a special one, but this little bear was floating around on my desk so decided to do something with him before he got lost!!! It's a sticker mounted onto white card and then cut out, used my bug, swiss dots and oval and circle nesties, a new flower punch I bought at the weekend, some little pink pearls and some backing paper from the Forever Friends range (oh and finished off with ribbon and a bow!!!)
Happy Anniversary Mum and Dad xx

On the beach

Made this card for Lynn's challenge on the imag-e-nation forum.
The adorable image is from Joanna Sheens "The Cardmakers Year" and I used the cuttlebug for the distressed stripes background and the printed sentiment.
A very simple card to make really and I thoroughly enjoyed doing it.
Have a nice evening.

Ruby Wedding

Got my light box out for this one and used an Ornare pricking stencil for the corners. I cut the photograph of the rose into three pieces and mounted them onto gold card. Finished it all off with a gold butterfly peel off stuck onto some red mirror card, some gold peel off dots, a couple of red gems and my usual ribbon and bow.
Hope you all had a nice weekend.

Cameron's Christening

Not made a card for a while and then made two at once for the same little boy. I don't like making more than one for the same person ... cos they have to be sooo different.
The first one is made using my bug, swiss dots, oval nesties and an image I got from Nikky (thanks Nikky) and the second one is very very simple just using one of my many Morehead sheets. Oh and before anyone says anything .. I know the apostrophes in the wrong place on the first card but hopefully they won't notice!!!
Hope you all have a nice day.

My Mum's Birthday Card

It's my Mum's birthday tomorrow amd each time I make her a card I find it harder and harder to do something just that bit different from the last one, plus the fact I've to find her a verse that's guaranteed to make her blub ... so all in all it's quite a task .. good job I love her so much!!
I used Fred's Flowers (thanks Tracey ... again), my new label nesties and as I don't have the Martha Stewart Doiley Punch yet (it's on my wish list) ... I improvised and did my own version using my Romance Board and a pricking tool ... doesn't look bad does it?
Have a nice evening everyone and Happy Birthday for tomorrow Mum xx

Blue Pansy

A different layout for me ... I'm getting very adventurous in my old age!!
Just used some lovely blue card I've had for ages, ran some white card through the cuttlebug using the swiss dots folder and oval nesties and finished it off with a die-cut pansy, ribbon, bow and pearls. (This is just for you McLiz!! lol)
Have a nice weekend everyone xx

A bit different for me!!

My first ever coloured stamped image!!!! (Jackie I hope you're proud of me lol!) and not my usual style of card at all but quite enjoyed doing it.
I've used colouring pencils from WH Smiths that Samantha bought me for my birthday .. just can't get to grips with watercolouring at all!!
The colouring leaves a lot to be desired but as they say "practice makes perfect" so hopefully in the not too distant future I'll be as good as Jackie and BevR .. yeah right .. and pigs might fly!! lol!
Enjoy your evening xx

Forever Friends

Just a very simple card using a Forever Friends sticker.
I've got loads of them but don't particularly like them just as stickers ... so I stuck it onto plain white card and then cut round him and popped it on the card with foam pads to give it a bit of dimension. I've not put a sentiment on it yet cos not sure who it's going to be sent to and for what occasion.
Have a nice evening xx

And finally ...

the last one I'm showcasing is Flippin' Miss Molly.

Bye for now

And a couple more ....

Here's another couple made up with the Flippin Kids new sheets.
Just added a contrasting backing sheet on each one, coloured the peel offs to match round the oval aperture and stuck a few embellishments on to finish them off.

I'll be back later with the final one. Have a nice evening xx

I'll be posting a few more on my blog tomorrow if you'd like to come back and have a look.
Hope you all had a good weekend xx

Columbine Fairy

I love these fairies. This was a freebie from a magazine along with six of her friends. I've only used one of them before so two down four to go!! I've put some stickles on her wings but as per usual the photo doesn't pick it up very well.
Check my blog tomorrow as I will be showing a few cards from the new "Flippin" range.
Have a lovely weekend xx

My Beautiful 50th Birthday Cards

It was my 50th Birthday last Friday and I had a fantastic weekend. I received loads of gifts, flowers, choccies etc. and lots of beautiful cards. Here are some that I received from my friends on the imag-e-nation forum .. all handmade of course and each one as beautiful as the last.
Thanks again everyone xx

From Jackie

From Lynn

From Toni

From Liz C

From Jak

From Louise Emma
and last but not least ... from Samantha (my daughter)
who doesn't do any cardmaking or craft of any description (too boring!!) but I think it's gorgeous and what a lovely surprise it was too.
and finally I'd just like to show you the beautiful Willow Tree figurine I received from Jackie. It's called "Friendship" and it has pride of place on my mantlepiece. Thanks again Jackie .. I love it!!

Have a nice evening everyone and hopefully I'll be back shortly with a card I've made myself!!

Fred's Spots!!

New flowers from Tracey at Fred, She Said. I love spots as you can probably tell by the amount of cards I've made recently with spots on!!!
Not been around much lately ... been busy with various card orders but most of them were duplicates of ones I've already made so no point showing them again!!
Hope you all had a lovely Easter.

The same ... but different!!

Almost identical to my Mum's mothers day card, just changed the picture and the verse inside. This is for my cousin Lynda's 50th birthday in a couple of weeks time. She was born on the same day as me (8 hours older!) and it caused quite a bit of interest in the hospital where we were born cos it's not every day sisters give birth on the same day!!!
Hope you had a nice weekend.

An oldie!!!

Made this one quite a while ago, but made another one very similar the other day but forgot to take a pic of it .. doh!!
Cuttlebugged swiss dots and Olivia alphabet and some die cut flowers I bought from the
imag-e-nation forum yonks ago!!
Have a nice weekend.
