Swimming for Katie

From October 10th-12th some of the best stampers joined together to support and encourage our friend and fellow stamper, Katie Renz, who is currently battling inoperable gastric cancer. If you're not familiar with her, Katie's cancer story started just before Christmas last year. This young, beautiful, healthy, vibrant mother of 3 with her infectious smile was suddenly diagnosed with an inoperable cancer, virtually overnight. A few tummy aches and then stage 4 gastric cancer. Her first post about it is here. The idea of "Swimming for Katie" came from her recent post here.

This exclusive stamp used in my sample, designed by Becky Oehlers is available as a clear stamp, as well as a digis or a dig and SVG cut file. 100% of the profits go to Katie's fund to help her and her young family. Her husband Kevin and her three young children need our help and support. In addition to the Keep Swimming Octopus, Marianne Walker and True =D Doodle Designs both also donated digis that are for sale. Direct donations are also being accepted. Information central is HERE. This is a permanent page that will stay active at i {heart} papers with current information as well as the donation button.

Here are all the items for sale.

I hope you will join me in supporting Katie through a purchase or donation. Myself and several other stamping friends are holding a mini blog hop to keep the fundraising in the public eye for as long as possible. The following is a list of everyone who has projects posted today. I hope you will be inspired by them and moved to purchase or donate.

This is a blog hop so be sure to follow it in the correct order. You should have arrived here from Julie and from here you need to hop over to Lori. The start of the hop is here with Mina.

Pumpkins

I thought I'd better get my finger out and make a card seeing as I haven't made one in over a week!!! You know when sometimes you just can't be a***d .. well that's what it's been like this past week or so!

I love these pumpkins from Just Inklined and I teamed it up with this gorgeous paper from Bearly Mine Designs. The sentiment is computer generated and the little spider is one of about 1,000 I bought a couple of Halloween's ago.

Coloured with Promarkers and the colours I used are: Burnt Orange, Pumpkin and Amber.

Right I'm off, but hopefully I'll find my mojo and be back again sometime this week .. but don't hold your breath!! lol

Just Inklined to Hop - Colours of Fall

Hi and welcome to this months Just Inklined Blog Hop. Our host this month is Cathy and her theme choice is "Colours of Fall" e.g. oranges, golds, yellows, browns etc.

For my centre step card I used the fabulous Wedding Bouquet which I coloured with Promarkers.

Now just to make this hop a little more interesting, there are two hidden spot prizes on two of the design teams blogs. We're not letting you know on whose blogs the prizes can be found, but if you leave a comment on each blog and your name is chosen from one of the winning blogs, then you win the digi image showcased on the card on that particular blog.

If you're following the hop in the right order you should have arrived here from Toni and from here you need to go back to the very beginning of the hop to Cathy.

In case you get lost here's the hop in the correct order. Enjoy!!

Well I've made my first Christmas card this year .. only another 60+ to go!!!

I used this lovely image from Just Inklined and coloured it with Promarkers. I used "Snow Writer" for the snow effect .. haven't a clue where I got it from as I had it bought last Christmas and only found it in the back of my cupboard the other day but I've found some here.

Just Inklined to Hop "Wacky Wheelz Special"

Well here we are again with our monthly Just Inklined Blog Hop.
This month we have a "Wacky Wheelz Special" hosted by Jak.

These fantastic new images are available as either a digi stamp for you to colour yourself or as a pre-coloured image, plus you also get the added bonus of matching backing papers, sentiments and embellishments. There are eight different cars to choose from and they can all be purchased here.

I used the fabulous Mini digi pack and "cheated" a bit on this one as I used the pre-coloured image rather than colour in the digi stamp version. Lazy or what .. but what a brilliant image it is!!

To make the hop more fun there are spot prizes along the way on every design team members blog chosen from those that leave a comment on each blog.

If you're following the hop in the right order you should have arrived here from Toni and from here you need to pop over to Cathy and see what fabulous creation she's got in store for you.

In case you get lost, here's the hop in the correct order. Enjoy!!!

Tulips in a jug

I love tulips and this image from Just Inklined is one of my favourites and so easy to colour.

Coloured as usual with Promarkers and as usual can't remember what colours ... doh!!!
The striking red backing paper is from a Stampin' Up pad and finished off as usual with ribbon and black gems.

See you soon xx

Mini picnic baskets

I've been itching to make these picnic baskets up ever since I came across a tutorial on YouTube.
They look quite complicated but are so simple to do, in fact so simple I made three of them in one sitting!! lol

In the video she uses much bigger brads on the handles but I didn't have any so had to use the small ones that I had but they work perfectly. The tutorial can be found here.

Have a nice day xx
