Purple Rose

Rather than go with a typical red or yellow rose, I thought I'd be a bit more daring and go with a striking purple one. I love how the colours have turned out and I was lucky enough to have a sheet of Joanna Sheen Satin Mirri Board that exactly matched the Promarker colours.

The image is from Just Inklined and can be purchased here. I cut the image out and mounted it onto a piece of card that I had printed the With Love sentiment on, the black frame was done by hand and the little gems started life white but I coloured them in with the plum coloured Promarker.

The colours I used are:
Roses: Aubergine, Plum and Mulberry
Leaves: Pear Green, Lime Green and Lime Zest

Hope you've had a lovely weekend whatever you've been doing xx

Promarker colours used:
Jug: Cocoa, Caramel and Sandstone
Tulips: Burgundy, Crimson and Lipstick Red
Leaves: Pear Green, Lime Green and Lime Zest

Enjoy your day whatever you're doing xx

Anyone for Golf?

This is one of the brand new Trinitage designs from La Pashe available to pre-order now.
This one is called "Golfing" would you believe and is available in Set 3 which can be purchased here.

We crafters all know that the male species are the hardest to make cards for, but this is absolutely perfect for the men in your life even if they're not keen golfers.

I'll be adding a few more from the new Trinitage sets over the next few days so keep popping back for more samples of these fantastic sheets.

See you soon xx

Three Drawer Box

Ever since I saw one of these on the Clearly I Stamp blog I've been dying to have a go but needed a spare couple of hours to give it a try. It was a bit time consuming and I can't say I'm entirely happy with the end result, but I'll definitely be having another go sometime soon. Katie Renz's fantastic tutorial can be found here. Thanks Katie xx

Rather than used a patterned paper I just ran my swiss dots folder through the cuttlebug using plain white paper. The rose is handmade using a new fllower punch I bought last weekend at The Range, and the gorgeous fern punch is a Leone Em one.

See you soon xx

Pansies

I think pansies have to be up there amongst my favourite flowers, and when I saw this image from Just Inklined (available here) I couldn't wait to get it coloured up.

I could have chosen any colour but decided on the blue as it's my favourite colour. I coloured it in with Promarkers and even remembered what colours I used!!

Flowers: Lemon, Prussian, Bluebell and Blue Pearl
Leaves: Forest Green, Apple and Meadow Green

Have a nice day whatever you're doing xx

My first dome card

I've been wanting to make one of these dome cards for ages, but never got round to it because I thought they would be difficult to make. I was wrong .. they're so simple and I'll probably have a bigger problem making the box for it than the actual card!! lol

It's my mum's birthday on Friday and every year I have to come up with something different from the year before .. I think I might have pulled it off with this one as she won't have seen one of these before .. so the next big hurdle is the verse .. I have to find a different verse every year too and it has to be one that's guaranteed to make her blub!!

Back to the card .. the flower is from one of the Cupcake Crafting cd's and is actually seven layers deep. The corners are done using my good old fashioned light box and a stencil I've had for centuries!! I put a piece of acetate behind the oval and finished it off with a few pearls.

Happy Birthday for Friday Mum .. love you loads xx

Clean and Simple

Hello and welcome to this month's Just Inklined Blog Hop. Our host this month is Jak and her theme choice is CAS (Clean and Simple). Now for me that was easy because I don't often make "busy" cards so I loved this theme choice.

I used this stunning Rose Bloom image and coloured it in with Promarkers. The rest is self explanatory, some score lines and a few pearls and that's it!! Easy peasy!! lol

Now just to make this hop a little more interesting, there are five hidden spot prizes on five of the design teams blogs. We're not letting you know on whose blogs the prizes can be found, but if you leave a comment on each blog and your name is chosen from one of the winning blogs. then you win the digi image showcased on the card on that particular blog. The winners will be announced on Wednesday.

If you're following the hop in the right order you should have arrived here from Meesh and from here you need to pop over to Cathy and see what little beauty she's got in store for you.

In case you get lost here's the hop in the correct order. Enjoy!!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoy the hop! xx
