Rose & Butterfly Frame Card

I was blog hopping, as you do, and came across this easy tutorial for a frame/shadow box card by Heather. So as I was having a lazy Sunday afternoon, I decided to give it a go!!

It was a lot easier to do than I thought, the hard part was deciding what to do with it once I'd made it up!! I used the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish, a handmade rose and the gorgeous backing paper is from the Papermania "Rose Garden" pad. I've not put a sentiment on yet cos I don't know who I'll be sending it to!!

Hope you've all had a good weekend whatever you've been doing :) xx

Poppy Cluster

Yet another poppy image from Just Inklined.  I went with the traditional red this time and coloured with Promarkers as usual.

It's an 8" x 8" card and the background was embossed using my Hougie Board. The spotty red paper I had in my stash and the colours I used were:
Poppies: Burgundy, Poppy and Lipstick Red
Leaves: Forest Green, Apple, Fresh Meadow, Caramel and Sandstone.

Hope you're all having a fantastic weekend whatever you're doing :) xx

Orange Oriental Poppy

I coloured this gorgeous Oriental Poppy from Just Inklined with Promarkers, and instead of going with the usual red, I decided to make it a bit different and go with orange.

The colours I used were:
Poppies: Burnt Orange, Pumpkin, Gold and Sunflower
Leaves: Forest Green, Apple Green and Fresh Meadow

Hope you're all enjoying the weekend whatever you're doing :) xx

Wedding Keepsake

I went to a wedding on Saturday and made this keepsake for the bride and groom (also made all the wedding stationery but that's a different story!!) lol

I followed this easy tutorial and used ice gold card for the base of the box and the lovely pale green backing paper is from a K & Company pad that I've had for years!! The roses were handmade using a woodware punch and the leaves are a Leone Em punch.

Have a nice day whatever you're doing :) xx

Thank you for being my teacher

This adorable little hedgehog is from the Country Companions CD

I altered the colour of the backing paper to match the image. Nothing else to say really, self explanatory I think. :) xx

Daisy Patch

This gorgeous daisy patch from Just Inklined was coloured with Promarkers

The spotty backing paper was originally blue but I changed the colour of it to match the daisies.

Hope you all had a good weekend. I'm recovering from last night, went to a wedding do and had a glass or two of wine!! xx

Just Inklined to Hop

Hi and welcome to this month's Just Inklined blog hop.
Our host this month is Jane, and her chosen theme is "monochromatic" (all one colour)

I chose this gorgeous corner poppy image and coloured it in with just three Promarkers (Pear Green, Lime Green and Lime Zest). I used my new Cheery Lynn lattice die and scored around the edge of the frame with my Hougie board.

Just to make the hop a little more interesting, there are two hidden spot prizes on two of the design teams blogs. We're not letting you know on whose blogs the prizes can be found, but if you leave a comment on each blog and your name is chosen from one of the winning blogs, then you win the digi image showcased on the card on that particular blog.

If you're following the hop in the right order you should have arrived here from Lori and from here you need to go to Jane at the start of the hop

In case you get lost here's the hop in the correct order. Enjoy!
