I lied ......
when I said I'd made my last Christmas card for this year.
I had a last minute request for a First Christmas card for Cameron ... you may remember the one I made for him when he was born earlier this year.
His Mummy and Daddy weren't in a mad rush for it as obviously at six months old he still can't read and doesn't know who Santa is yet!!! LOL
They just wanted a memento to mark his first Christmas.
Hope you all had a good one and with a bit of luck the next card I post will be a nice, pretty, flowery one .. just how I like 'em.

I'd just like to wish everyone out there a very Merry Christmas and an even better New Year and a big thank you to everyone who visits my blog and especially those who take the time to leave me lovely comments.
Cheers!!!

Ain't she cute!!

After making Christmas cards for what seems forever this year ... it was so nice to make an ordinary card.
This is for Trev's boss and his wife cos every year at Christmas they book all the staff (and their other halves) into a hotel that is having a theme night of some description .. last night it was Moulin Rouge. Had a great night and the brilliant thing about it is nobody has to worry about getting home cos we all stay the night at the hotel and then get treated to a full english breakfast the following morning. (Oh and forgot to mention .. all drinks are free all night .. just put them on the company tab .. how generous is that)!!

The last one
I've made over 80 Christmas cards this year ... 60 of them being the little snowman card further down on my blog ... and to be quite honest if I see another snowman this side of Christmas I might just get the urge to strangle him!!! I get bored when making the same card so many times but with time never on my side, I have no option but to make them all the same ... apart from a few special ones!!

It was such a pleasure to make this one for my Mum and Dad ... a) because it got my creative juices flowing again and b) not a snowman in sight!!!

The lovely poinsettia is from the Christmas Past CD from Cupcake Crafting and the poinsettia paper is a Laura Ashley one .. I just drew round the edges of the flowers with a Sakura Stardust pen to make it glisten!!

The same .. but different

As these two cards are going on the same mantlepiece they had to be made the same but different! If you know what I mean!!
I'm never too sure about putting bows and ribbons on male cards .. they look OK to me ... but then again my bows are practically famous so a card without a bow just wouldn't be me!!!

Gold and Cream Wedding Card

This is for a couple who are getting married in Iceland in a couple of weeks. Don't know why they bothered wasting their money ... they could have got married in our back garden .. it's covered in frost and absolutely freezing!!!

Used the good old Booktrix board ... don't particularly like making these cards .. find them too time consuming but it was what I was asked for .. so I did as I was told!!

I don't believe this!!!!

Look what happens when I neglect my blog .... I get inundated with awards!!!
So .. without further ado ... I'll do with them what I'm supposed to do ... this could be a long night!! LOL!!

Award No. 1Firstly I'd like to thank Jackie, Val and Sue for this award .. much appreciated.

"This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind blogger’s aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight blogger’s who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."
So I'd like to pass this award onto:

Cazz, Margaret, Maureen, Linda, Louise, Bev, Jean and Liz

Award No. 2
This next award was given to me by Sue .. .thanks Sue (again!!!)

Think most people have already received this one before .. but I'd like to pass it on to Jackie ... cos a) I love her blog b) she makes me laugh and c) don't think she's got this one!! LOL!!

Award No. 3
Thanks for this one Jackie ... really appreciated.

I know this one has been around for the last hundred years or so .. and most people will already have it but I'd like to give it to Sue and Val.

And last but not least ...
Award No. 4
Thank you so much Val and Toni

With this award I have to tell you seven interesting things about myself!
They're not particularly interesting but it's the best I could do!

1. I used to drive Ferraris for a living .. and get paid for the privilege!

2. I absolutely love Lee Evans .. he's got to be the funniest man on the planet.

3. My favourite films of all times are Dirty Dancing and Armageddon.

4. I love playing Tomb Raider on the puter (sad or what!!)

5. I love reading and must have over 200 books in my cupboard ... all unread I hasten to add .. cos never have time to read them!

6. I drive a sexy, black BMW ... I had a Porsche before that but swapped it for the BMW!!

7. I'm a Lambrini girl .. and proud of it!!!

I'm not going to award this one to anyone in particular .. I'd just like to award it to everyone who visits my blog and say a big thank you to all of you and especially those who are kind enough to leave comments. It really is appreciated.

Well think that's it ... thanks again everyone and hopefully I may just get to post a card on here eventually!!! LOL!!

Morning Glory

Just love the colour of this card. This is a layout I've used many times in the past and maybe looks a little old hat .. but it's so easy to do.
I used the Romance Board for the scalloped edge and the embossing .... and the morning glory image is from one of Joanna Sheens many brilliant CD's. I just printed it out a few times and then decoupaged it ... and the butterfly peel off is stuck onto a bit of the excess blue card and then cut out.

And another yellow flower

Not sure what this flower is ... nature was never one of my strong points!! .. but whatever it is it's lovely. Some of you might recognise this card cos it's one I made a while ago, but I've not made anything to put on my blog for a bit so thought I'd keep it updated with this one.

Yellow Rose

Made this for lady who loves yellow roses ... and for this one I used the fabulous Cupcake CD's .. if you've not seen them before have a look here. Absolutely gorgeous toppers, backing papers, decoupage etc. I've got about seven of the CD's and must admit I don't use them as often as I should.

My First Christmas Card

Finally got round to making a start on my Christmas cards. I usually send about 50 plus (not including family ones) so need to keep them relatively simple and quick to make up. Thank goodness for the cuttlebug is all I can say ... makes card making so much easier!!! So this is the one I will be sending to everyone this year ... usually personalise the front but think it would have spoilt the card ... so personalised the insert instead.

Card for Ryan

Ryan was born last Monday and it's taken me this long to make a card for him!!!!
He'll be going to school by the time he actually receives it!! Just couldn't get my head round it at all and a baby card should be one of the easiest cards to make ... shouldn't it???

Anyways .. better late than never ... and thanks to my bug and my Morehead sheets .. I got there in the end!!

Quick and Easy

This was a quick and simple one to make.
It measures 15cm x 15cm .. don't normally make them so small ... but like how it turned out.
The flower is from a sheet of sparkly stickers that I bought ages ago and I'd forgotten about so stuck it onto white card and then put foam pads on the back and stuck it onto the circle nestabilities .. and then just had to finish off with one of my infamous bows!!!

Christmas Card Challenge Entry

On the forum I belong to (imag-e-nation) we have a card challenge every couple of weeks or so and I always try and participate. This particular challenge was called Three of A Kind because the card had to have three of something on it whether it be the same image three times, or three colours, or three backing papers etc ... couldn't think what to do and was running out of time so had to do something really quick and simple.

Can't get much simpler than this can you!! One cuttlebug christmas tree cut into three pieces!!! Easy peasy .. in fact that easy peasy may just make all my christmas cards this year like this.

Anyway ... want to know how I did?

I won!!!

That's all for now, see ya next time.

New card ... at last!!

Been a while since I posted a card ... I've made that many lately and forgot to take pics of half of them plus the pics I have taken have been rubbish due to poor light conditions .. so this is one of the better ones ... and even this isn't as good as it should be!!!

Printed the main picture as a background and then just watermarked it ... then went beserk with my new corner punch ... I just love this one ... thanks Bev.

Well that's it for now ... hopefully it won't be as long before I have another spectacular creation to show you!!! LOL

Cuttlebug Butterfly Wedding Card

This is the second card I've had to make for this couple. The first one is further down on my blog .. the one to Debra and Simon using Jak's rose. As it's a second wedding, didn't want all the fluffy, frilly stuff normally associated with weddings, so just kept it nice and simple. I must admit it took me a long time to make up 'cos I just couldn't get my head round it at all, couldn't make up my mind how to lay it all out.

But got there in the end and I'm really pleased with the finished result ..... just need to go and make a box now.

Bye for now.

First Christmas Card This Year
This is the first Christmas card I've made so far this year, and the only reason I made this was to enter it for a challenge on the forum I belong to. I usually make all my Christmas cards the same except for close family and friends, but don't think I'll be making masses of these ... took too long and too much faffing about. I enjoyed making it but think it's gonna be a one off ... if I was to make them for everybody, I'd still be making them next Christmas!!!

Flower Fairy

Had these flower fairy images for ages ... they came free in a magazine so I just cut them all up and put them to one side. Forgot all about them and found them the other day when I was sorting through some more of my stash!!!

Wasn't going to put the little flowers in the corners of the pic but I'd dropped a blob of glue in the left hand corner of it and made a right mess so had to think of a way to disguise it. So punched some flowers out, added a few pearls and I think it actually looks like they were meant to be there!!! Janice won't know anyway .... unless she reads my blog!!!

Jak's Wedding Rose

When Jak first posted her card made with this rose and then so kindly shared it with us, I knew I wanted to use it on the next wedding card I made. Well, lucky me .... got a wedding coming up on 12th September and as it's a second marriage and going to be very low key I thought this would be perfect.
Printed the big rose onto vellum (very similar to previous wedding card I made) and then decoupaged the rose .. but as usual you can't tell on the photo!!!

Thanks again Jak, and if you want to see the card she made and download a copy of the image, click here.

Artepico Award

I have just received this award from Chris ... thank you so much. I think it's lovely when fellow bloggers think your blog is worthy of an award.

I have to pass this on to five other bloggers who I think deserve this award. Here's my choice:
Jean
Jackie
Margaret
Toni

Thanks again Chris .. much appreciated.

My New Craft Room .. at last!!

Well we finally got there. Trev worked like a trojan on his week off from work (bless him) so now he's gone back to work for a rest and I've got this week off work to play in my new room!!
And before everyone says it's far too tidy ... I've not finished sorting all my stuff out yet .. and you should see what's behind the sliding mirrored doors!!! On second thoughts .. no you shouldn't see what's behind the mirrored doors ... best thing we ever did fitting those .. they hide a multitude of sins (and mess!!)
So there you have it ... hope you enjoy your look round ... I know I'm gonna enjoy playing in here!!
