Easel Calendar Take Two

I used a different "Fred's Flower" on this one. I've got 8 more of these little calendars to use, so I'm going to make 8 more of these in different colours, but don't worry I won't be posting them all on here, don't want to bore you all to tears!! lol

Have a nice day whatever you're doing xx

Easel Calendar

Father Christmas very kindly got me a Hougie board for Christmas (cos I was a good girl!!) so I thought I'd road test it and make something other than a card.

The instructions for the easel box are from Stamping Moments and can be purchased here. Jenny has got some absolutely fantastic projects and I can see a big spend coming on!! lol
The gorgeous dahlia is from Tracey at Fred, She Said and the little calendars are from Samuel Taylors .. 10 for 99p .. bargain!!

P.S. Just Inklined have got a fabulous offer on at the moment ... Buy 10 Digital Stamps and get them at HALF PRICE!! Further details are here.

Hope you're all having a relaxing Christmas and haven't drunk or eaten too much. I haven't ... yeah right!!! lol

Ding Dong Merrily On High

I thought I'd have a change from the traditional Christmas colours and be a bit daring and go with Kingfisher Blue.

The image is called "Christmas Bells" from Just Inklined and can be purchased here.
I coloured it in with Promarkers but forgot to write the colours down .. doh!!
I used a Martha Stewart border punch, Cuttlebug embossing folder and nesties and finished off with a bit of ribbon and pearls.

Wish me luck, I'm off to do the food shop this afternoon and I'm not looking forward to it one bit!! Wonder if anyone would mind if I didn't bother going and we had Beans on Toast for Christmas dinner instead!! lol

Merry Christmas Mum & Dad

I used the beautiful Poinsettia again from the "Christmas Past" Cupcake Crafting CD.

This is a large 8" x 8" card, but it was so simple to make. Not a lot going on, just used my swiss dots cuttlebug folder and large nestie dies.

Merry Christmas Mum and Dad xx

Just Inklined Blog Hop

Welcome to this months blog hop from Just Inklined.
The theme is "All Stitched Up" using real or faux stitching which was set by Debbie.
Now the last time I used a sewing machine was at school and even then I dropped out of needlework and took woodwork with the boys instead!! So even though I can't stitch I can make a good bookshelf!! lol

So consequently I used faux stitching and I don't think it looks too bad even though I say so myself!! I used Maude Merry Christmas and coloured her in with Promarkers. Think I'll send it to hubby and then maybe he'll realise I'm a dolly bird compared to her!! lol

If you're on the right track you should have arrived here from Toni and from here you should pop over to our Guest Designer of the month Jeni and see what gorgeous creation she's come up with. Welcome Jeni, it's lovely to have you with us.

Enjoy the hop and in case you get lost, here's a list in the correct order.

Little church in the snow

I love this little church from Just Inklined and it was so simple to colour in.

After all the red and white Christmas cards I've been making, I thought I'd go with non-traditional colours on this. I think it looks quite effective.
I used some black glitter paper from my stash and the gorgeous snowflake backing paper is from Jak which can be found here. Thanks Jak.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and that the snow doesn't cause you too many problems.
Take care xx

Cross-Eyed Christmas Owl

I just love the face on this owl. Perhaps he's had a few too many and is concentrating staying put on his perch!! lol

The image is from pcCrafter and can be found here. I put a bit of glitter glue on his hat and a few red gems on the holly to give it a bit of sparkle. The background was scored on my scoreboard and the snowflakes were punched and finished off with a white pearl in the middle.

Well, the snow here is unbelievable and I'm having a day off as I can't get into work. I suppose I could always walk, but by the time I get there it will be time to come back!!

Have a nice day whatever you're doing xx

Christmas Wreath Pinecones

I used my new nesties on this one .. can't remember what they're called!! The red glitter paper is some I had in my stash and is really sparkly in real life .. shame photo doesn't do it justice, and the backing paper with holly is from Forever Friends.

Can't remember all the Promarker colours I used, but do remember the ribbon was coloured in Burguny, Crimson, Poppy and Antique Pink.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and don't have too much trouble with the snow. We've got a bit at the minute but it's copable!! xxx

Iris

This gorgeous Iris is from Just Inklined.

I've been that busy making Christmas cards I haven't had time to do any colouring in lately, so it made a nice change to get my Promarkers out.

The colours I used are:
Flower: Lavender, Lilac and Purple
Leaves: Meadow Green, Apple and Forest Green

Keeping everything crossed that the snow stays away, can't stand the stuff .. unless it's Christmas Day of course!!

Sophie's 18th

Pink and sparkly .. just right for an 18 year old girly girl!!

I can't remember where I got the image from but I do know it was royalty free .. so thank you whoever you are!

Decoupage Poinsettia

Gone back to my first love decoupage for this card.

There is actually six layers but the photo doesn't pick it up very well. The beautiful Poinsettia is from the fantastic "Christmas Past" Cupcake Crafting CD.

I'm just waiting now for the go ahead from Wills and Kate to make a start on their wedding stationery!! lol

See you soon xx

Peony Take Two

Another fabulous Peony digi stamp from Just Inklined which can be purchased here.

I saw this lattice effect done (without the pearls) on another blog a while back and can't for the life of me remember where .. so whoever it was .. thank you so much for the inspiration. The coloured card actually started life as white, but after using the brilliant Greeting Card Factory I changed the colour by using the radial effect which gives a two tone effect.

The peony was coloured with Promarkers:

Leaves: Forest Green, Apple and Meadow Green
Flower: Cocktail Pink, Pale Pink, Almond, Vanilla and Ivory

That's it for now .. see you soon xx

Here we are again, Just Inklined blog hop time. Can't believe how quick these months are flying by and not even started thinking about Christmas yet!!
Anyway, on to our hop and our host this month is Lydia who set the theme of "Use at least 2 different punches".

I used three .. Martha Stewart Doily punch, an inverted corner punch and a little butterfly punch, and the gorgeous image is the Peony which I coloured in with Promarkers.

If you're following the hop in the correct order you should have arrived here from Joyce, but if not you need to go to Lydia for the start and follow the trail from there. I'm sure all the ladies will have done a fantastic job as per usual and can I just say welcome to Joyce whose now a permanent member of the design team.

James - Trick or Treat

Here's James from Just Inklined all dressed up and ready to go Trick or Treating.
I hope he comes to our house this year, because every year I buy hundreds of sweets and choccies and nobody ever comes knocking on our door and we end up eating them all ourselves!!
James can be found here.

The backing paper is from Donna at Bearly Mine Designs and a Stampin' Up border punch was used on the strip of white card.

Promarkers used on James are:
Hat, Stick and Shoes: Ice Grey 1, 3 and 5
Pumpkin, Moon and Stars: Amber, Pumpkin and Burnt Orange
Clothes: Orchid and Purple
Skin: Blush, Oatmeal and Apricot

Now I don't normally enter challenges but came across loads of sites with "Halloween" as the theme so I thought why not enter James.

Christmas Robins

I couldn't decide how to mount these beautiful Robins up (from Just Inklined) when I'd finished colouring them in. I was originally going to go with a traditional Christmas card, but ended up being a bit dramatic and going with black and red.

The black glitter card is absolutely gorgeous in real life, but as per usual the photo doesn't do it justice. I couldn't use a punch on it so had to resort to my good old Romance embossing board to do the scalloped edge.
Sorry I can't remember the Promarker colours I used, but I do know I used my blender pen for the very first time on the robins red breasts!!
The Christmas Robins can be found here.

Have a lovely weekend whatever you're doing xxx

He musn't be having much luck scaring anything away, but then he wouldn't scare me either .. he's too cute!! lol

He's from Just Inklined and can be purchased here.

I used one of the nesties labels (can't remember which number) for the frame, the dp is from my stash and the embossed background is the random dot folder

Promarkers used are:
Hat and Trousers: Amber, Pumpkin and Burnt Orange
Coat: Duck Egg, Turquoise, Marine and Petrol
Skin: Blush, Oatmeal and Apricot
Grass: Forest Green and Apple
Wood: Walnut and Cinnamon

See you soon xx

Professor Hoot

I love owls and this little chap is so sweet.
He's from Just Inklined and can be purchased here.

The gingham paper is from Papermania Capsule Collection and the brown card has actually got a shiny finish to it but the photo doesn't pick it up.

Coloured in with Promarkers as usual and the colours I used are:
Owl: Satin, Cinnamon and Walnut
Eyes, Beak and Feet: Mango, Pumpkin and Burnt Orange
Leaves: Meadow Green, Apple and Forest Green

See you soon xx

Last one for now from the fabby Trinitage collection from La Pashe.

I love the colours on this, and rather than go with the traditional Christmas colours I chose a pinky/peach glitter paper to go with the beautiful sky.
See you all soon xx

Honeysuckle

Beautiful honeysuckle digi image from Just Inklined which can be purchased here.
The delicious backing paper is from Marianne design Pink Eline's Babies. I've also got the blue pad but not got round to using it yet.

I coloured the honeysuckle with my Promarkers and the colours I used are:
Flowers: Ivory, Vanilla, Almond, Pale Pink and Cocktail Pink
Leaves: Meadow Green, Apple and Forest Green

It was Samantha's 23rd birthday today, so we had a lovely day out in York and just finished it off with a take-away ... perfect!!

Poinsettia Cottage

La Pashe have just released their brand new set of Trinitage sheets.
I thought the first set were gorgeous but I love these even more!!
Poinsettia Cottage can be purchased here.

A very simple card to make up, just used a bit of glitter card, some red backing paper, snowflake punch and coloured a strip of white ribbon in with my Promarkers because I didn't have any red ribbon to match the card.

Have a nice day whatever you're doing xx

I used the Mummy image cos he's striped!! The dp is from Papermania's Capsule Collection, the ribbon is from my stash and I used the Cuttlebug "distressed stripes" folder, all finished off with a few black gems and a squishy little spider!!!
Oh and the Mummy was coloured in using Promarkers Ice Grey 1, 3 and 5.

A bit like Marmite!!!

Bookatrix!! You either love 'em or hate 'em lol!
I was specifically asked to make this one and although I don't really enjoy doing them I was pleased with how it turned out.

I decoupaged the rose which is again from the one of the beautiful Cupcake Crafting CD's and finished it all off with peel offs, ribbon and pearls.
Have a nice weekend whatever you're doing xx
